Massage Therapists
Massage therapy at The Face & The Body Day Spa is always essential and professional.  One of our goals is to ensure you receive exactly what you want and need from your massage therapist.  Each of our therapists has his or her own style and specialty.  Get to know them here, then call our spa coordinators to ensure the right therapist is selected for you.

Estheticians
Professional facials are a preventative and protective way to balance skin conditions.  Our specialized, advanced treatments take facials beyond cleansing, toning and moisturizing to treatments that produce visible results.  We use a blend of traditional skin care products and phamaceutical-grade products available only to licensed estheticians.  Relaxing hand and arm massage is included with all facials.  You'll also receive a complimentary touch-up make-up - a gift from us to you.  Home care is crucial to maintain that level of prevention and protection.  Youll receive a professional, customized skin care guide to maintain the exceptional benefits of your facial.

Nail Technicians
More than just beauty treatments, manicures, pedicures and skin care-based treatments for the hands, arms, feet and legs are essential to rehydrate the tissues and increase circulation to the nails.  Enhanced products, advanced training and our analysis-based treatments are customized to provide solutions for our clients' hand and foot problems.  Utilizing more useful softening agents besides the traditional water soak, our manicures are waterless.  Home care maintenance extends the benefits of our spa treatments that leave your hands and feet looking great.

Massage Therapist Bios

As a professional soccer player in Europe, Admir has enjoyed many types of massages from different parts of the world. When he moved to St. Louis three years ago, he decided that he could also offer the massage treatments to others so he enrolled and graduated from Allied College and became a licensed massage therapist. Admir believes he has a special connection to athletes, understanding their aches and pains. Admir offers many modalities and favors deep tissue, myofascial release and Swedish. He loves to bring relief to his clients.

Alice has been a professional massage therapist since 1991. Trained in both the United States and The former Soviet Union, her primary modalities are Neuromuscular Therapy (also known as trigger point), and Russian Medical and Sports Massage.   Alice particularly enjoys working on musicians and individuals in the performing arts. She has been the massage therapist to four shows of Cirque du Soleil and two shows of Riverdance. Whether it is pain management or a soothing massage, Alice will help you achieve a deep state of relaxation.
A firm believer in massage therapies benefits for the mind, body, spirit and soul, Brenda knows that massage is more than luxury. She loves to provide a caring, nurturing environment for all her clients and her specialty is Pregnancy Massage. She says, “I love caring for expectant mothers.” She’ll provide a quiet, relaxing atmosphere for the massage of your choice: Swedish, TechnoRelief, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Head Aide, Acumassage, Reflexology, La Stone or Pregnancy.
A nationally certified massage therapist, Chelly has extensive training in muscle therapy. Prior to joining The Face & The Body, Chelly spent several years at Durango Sports Club, a physical therapy and personal training center for top athletes. While in Colorado, Chelly perfected her skills in neuromuscular therapy, specializing in techniques for people recovering from surgery or sports injuries, and those living with everyday chronic pain. Massage with physical therapy can speed up recovery time, break up scar tissue and improve biomechanical function. Chelly believes massages can give you a greater sense of well being by decreasing stress hormones and increasing endorphins. Schedule a massage with Chelly, and she’ll customize a treatment for your specific needs.
Joanie enjoys increasing overall relaxation and decreasing muscle tension by opening up the space around the muscles so they have room to expand and “breathe.” She is certified in Stone Therapy, Reflexology and Prenatal Massage, and can also perform Swedish, Sports, La Stone, Aromatherapy, and Reflexology massages.

Alla is a senior esthetician at the Brentwood location and has been with The Face & The Body since 1998.   She knew as a young girl in the Ukraine she wanted to make people feel and look better.   She was on her way to becoming a licensed esthetician, completing her four-year rigorous medical training as required in the Ukraine, when she moved to St. Louis. To keep her dream alive, she completed her esthetic training as soon as she moved to the United States. Alla is proud of her medical background, and is happy that she works in a spa rather than a hospital. “Hospitals are depressing, people are there because they are sick and you can’t always heal them,” said Alla. “At the spa, people always leave feeling better than when they arrived.” The Face & The Body provides on-going training and that has been a big attraction for Alla; it allows her to stay on top of her field. Her specialty? Acne-prone and oily skin…as a long time sufferer of both conditions, she recommends regular facials and proper skin care product usage to conquer this life-long challenge.

Always happy and friendly, Cara loves to take care of people and ensure her clients feel pampered.  She's meticulous with waxing, especially eyebrows, and will go out of her way to make sure you leave with perfect arches.

Cara originally went to esthetics school to get a start as a make-up artist.  She quickly became interested in skin, and found she has a talent for working closely with her clients on something so important.  She believes that skin health is the first step towards real beauty, and that education is priceless.  She's an avid reader of trade publications, books, and on-line resources and wants to learn as much as she can to help her clients.

Plus, if you're a Cardinals fan, Cara's the esthetician for you!  A loyal fan and season-ticket holder, she's always ready to talk baseball!

Make an appointment with Cara today and you'll enjoy a major-league spa experience.

Douglas is the king of customer service…once you’ve had a facial from him, you won’t want to go anywhere else! He’s charismatic and charming, and with esthetics education and experience to boot, he’s one of our most valuable assets. He’s easy to talk to, so feel free to come in and let him know exactly what skin care issues you’d like to address. He’ll work with you to solve your skin care needs through spa services and home care products, and you’ll love the results.

Heather is licensed and an internationally certified esthetician. She has gone through extensive training to become a CIDESCO Diplomat and learn more about customized facials and ‘speed waxing’. When she attended Aesthetics Institute of St. Louis in 2006, she learned early on she cared deeply about result-oriented services. She learned at a young age about good skin care when dealing with her own oily acne-prone skin. “I know it can be frustrating to learn what works best for your skin.” That’s why she suggests clients seek help from their professional skin care expert. “There’s a solution for every skin type challenge.”

Jerri graduated from Artistic College of Cosmotology after being a beauty consultant and make-up artist for five years.  Skin care has always been important to her, and as she developed her skills in beauty, she realized that she could help people create beauty through skin health.  As a licensed esthetician, she's excited to share her knowledge and benefits with you.

Jerri loves music, preferring to visit small venues and support the local music scene.  She knows first-hand what kind of environmental damage your skin sustains in those situations, and has a great tips on reviving and rejuvenating tired skin.  Whether you need a pick-me-up or a seasonal update to your regular skin care routine, schedule an appointment with Jerri and leave looking and feeling refreshed.

Larisa has been interested in skin care from a very young age, and was always trying new and different products. This life-long interest in skin health led her to esthetics school, and drives her passion for sharing knowledge about beauty secrets and skin care techniques. She firmly believes that helping clients improve their complexion is essential to feeling beautiful, inside and out. “I hope my clients know I try my hardest to give them the very best service and skin care advice,” she says, “That’s why I continue to attend education events…I want to stay at the top of my profession!” Larisa excels at client satisfaction and communication, and is happiest when she knows she’s making a positive difference in her clients’ lives. “It’s all about leading a healthy lifestyle,” she says. “Let me help you look and feel your best every day!”

An eleven year veteran at The Face & The Body, Rina is thankful everyday that she has discovered the beauty of facials and skin care. Rina believes it’s a combination of regular spa visits, home care with proper products and peels that yield the best results for clients. She is consistently impressed with clients who follow a home care regiment prescribed by their estheticians –“proper products really extend the benefits received from spa visits.” She strongly encourages all clients to follow their estheticians’ home care recommendations.

While Suzanna has learned many different techniques since she became an esthetician in 2002, she prefers to focus on a more gentle approach. She believes that making sure her clients are relaxed is an essential component in her facials. “I got into this business because I want people to look good and feel better about themselves,” she says. “It’s very motivating and lets me know I’m doing a good job.” Suzanna’s treatments range from facials and waxing to Microdermabrasion and in-depth consultations to develop a daily skin care regimen. “If you want results and someone who listens to your needs,” she says, “schedule an appointment and we’ll discuss what options best work for you.”
